Mission Builders
Youth With A Mission of Montana has many schools and events where people learn about the heart of God and principles that God intends to be in our character. At the same time, work skills are taught to help keep the Youth With A Mission base operating using all-volunteer labor.
Purpose
The goal of the Mission Builder program is two-fold. The first is to give people an opportunity to experience short-term missions. The other is to provide the opportunity to participate in the support of Youth With A Mission’s ongoing training and evangelism ministries. Our desire is to give a “hands-on” opportunity to express their gifts and talents, and allow them to see the building of the Kingdom of God through their efforts.
Details
The opportunities are endless! We have positions open in everything from office help to food services to maintenance. We try to place Mission Builders in a working environment that suits their abilities and desires, and helps meet the current needs in our support ministry areas as well. Mission Builders get to work alongside our long-term staff and develop meaningful relationships that will give them insight into full-time service. They are also able to attend most of our staff activities and occasionally be involved in outreach and evangelism. They may serve as a mission builder for a term of 2 weeks to 3 months after which time we encourage them to consider becoming involved in one of our Discipleship Training Schools.
Opportunities include administration, childcare, construction, computer systems, clerical/data entry, graphic arts, hospitality, legal service, maintenance, photography, communication, etc.
Mission Builders are men and women of action! They are carpenters, plumbers, heavy equipment operators, electricians, engineers, architects, secretaries, computer operators, kitchen helpers, accounting workers, landscapers and many others who want to use their skills to make an impact for the Kingdom of God.
There is a daily work schedule, yet work is not the only goal. Mission builders are a family learning to relate to each other and wanting to spiritually grow together. Because of the emphasis on the Lord in our total lifestyle, many opportunities exist for personal growth.
Cost
For your service, we will provide your housing and meals free of charge. You will need money for your personal expenses, i.e. laundry, transportation, etc.
Our desire is to see the Kingdom of God established throughout the whole earth. Mission Building is one way people can actively participate in the Great Commission without having to make a major commitment of time or career change.
