Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Does this school offer any sort of certificate?
Answer: By itself it does not, but it is accredited through YWAM’s University of the Nations where you can use this course as one of the requirements to obtain and Associate of Science in Primary Health Care, Bachelor of Arts in Counseling and Health Care, Bachelor of Science in Primary Health Care or even a Graduate diploma in International Health.

Question: How can I use this training?
Answer:You can use it in many areas of the developing world. For example, there is always a need to go and teach primary health care issues in needy, remote villages where health care is not available as a Village Health Care Worker. Or you can plug into a YWAM work such as a clinic or other mercy ministry type ministries, such as YWAM’s ship ministry called “Marine Reach”. An ongoing need is for people who have done the IPHC school to help staff other IPHC schools helping to teach other students what you’ve just learned.

Question: Will this training prepare me for medical school or nursing school?
Answer: It will give you an initiation into the needs of medical people in missions and you will learn the basics of anatomy and physiology which will help you understand medical terminology.
