Coming to a DTS will undoubtedly change your life. Because of its unique format, a DTS differs greatly from most short-term missions outreaches or Bible training programs. The Discipleship Training School will help you know God better personally, not just academically, and has a huge emphasis on personal application. Many graduates state that their DTS was the most powerful turning point of their lives. Additionally, a DTS is the first step to becoming a missionary or student with Youth With A Mission.

The DTS is an intensive course, beginning with the 12 week lecture phase followed by the 2 month practical cross-cultural outreach. The course is designed to encourage your personal character development while cultivating a living relationship with God. The outreach portion exists to cause you to put into action learned principles while preparing you to reach current and future generations with a call to “Go into all the world and disciple all nations” (Matt. 28:19)

A DTS at Lakeside, Montana is for people who want to be totally consumed by God so that He can equip them for the coming harvest throughout the world. The minimum age is 18 (or a high school graduate/equivalent) and must have a stable relationship with Jesus and passion to deepen that relationship with or without a heart for missions.

Prerequisites

You must be at least 18 years of age, or have graduated high school (or equivalent) to participate in the Discipleship Training School. If you are married, both husband and wife must complete the school together.

Accreditation

Twenty (20) semester equivalent credits will be earned upon successful completion of the Discipleship Training School. These credits may be applied to a U of N degree program or transferred to other participating colleges or universities around Canada and the U.S.M
