The History of YWAM Lakeside
In June of 1985, the Lakeside Air Force Base was scheduled for public auction. On June 6th, 1985, God gave YWAM its current location in Lakeside. On July 6th, 1985, the first full-time staff members moved onto the base and began extensive repairs. In September of 1985, the first Discipleship Training School (DTS) was run. There were 47 students, 26 children and 17 staff!
